A pathway to The Music Factory through Elmwood Cemetery.

Charlotte is a city divided. Separation comes not through physical barriers but through markers and leftovers that the city develops. Separation comes from histories left unattended and unchanged. The histories need to be examined, the memories re-told. Dark pasts should not be forgotten and the city has turned on itself, it has begun to reclaim places once private and now very public. How will the built environment respond to this shift? What is the appropriate course to take? How can the landscape be stitched to accept all and not barricade or separate? We must put it back together.
